New UN Assistance for Pensioners and People with Disabilities: Categories of Recipients Identified.

The World Food Programme, together with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and the Pension Fund of Ukraine, continues to support pensioners and people with disabilities by providing additional payments until the end of July. The program covers over 315,000 people who receive about 216 million hryvnias in total assistance every month. These payments equal the difference between the social payment and the maximum amount of 3,250 hryvnias.
Among pensioners, those eligible for additional payments are those receiving a pension of less than 3,250 hryvnias per month and not receiving any other financial assistance from international organizations. People with disabilities can also expect support if they receive state social assistance of less than 3,250 hryvnias per month and do not receive any other financial assistance from international organizations.
Territorial Restrictions
The program is extended to residents of certain regions of Ukraine, as defined by the order of the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine dated February 28, 2025, No. 376, except for temporarily occupied territories.
Automatic Payment
Assistance is paid automatically to recipients on banking cards or through Ukrposhta; there is no need to submit applications or undergo additional registration. It is important to note that this assistance is provided only to the most vulnerable categories of the population, according to the established criteria of the program.
The assistance program for pensioners and people with disabilities from the World Food Programme continues to support those receiving the lowest pensions and social assistance. This is important aid or some percentage increase to their income that helps alleviate their financial situation and improve their quality of life.
