The Work.ua portal offers interesting opportunities for military chaplains. According to the 'Glavkom' website, salaries can range from 15,000 to over 100,000 Hryvnias per month.
This position requires important qualification requirements, such as experience as a clergyman, higher theological education, and no connections to the RSK. Additionally, a signature in the military jurisdiction must be present, a representative of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate reported.
Some chaplains who provide spiritual support to military personnel can also lead congregations with the consent of commanders.
Starting in 2024, the government of Ukraine began to open access to important positions for religious actors based on a special decree. The new criteria introduced in 2025 are crucial for classifying religious organizations as important for the economy.
Ukrainian military chaplains can now find interesting and well-paying job offers on the Work.ua portal according to the new criteria and requirements.
