A soldier proposed to his beloved in an unusual place.


A serviceman of the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade, Andriy Uzevka, with the call sign Sergeant from Ivano-Frankivsk, proposed to his beloved girlfriend Svitlana Afanasieva from Zaporizhia region near the stele of the Orikhiv district. They met six months ago and instantly fell in love with each other. The couple got married on February 1st and plans to hold their wedding ceremony in the serviceman's homeland. This was reported by 'Suspline'.
The love story of 32-year-old serviceman Andriy and 21-year-old Svitlana began six months ago when Andriy arrived in the village of Tavriiske for lunch and met Svitlana, who was working as a saleswoman. They liked each other right away and exchanged phone numbers. Then Andriy invited Svitlana on a date that evening.
Andriy admitted that he was very nervous before proposing to Svitlana. He organized everything so that the girl wouldn’t suspect anything. He approached her with flowers and the first words he heard were: 'Are you joking?'. He got scared, but Svitlana said 'yes'.
Andriy and Svitlana believe that their love helps them cope more easily with the war. They enjoy every moment spent together and do not want to postpone joy for later.
Andriy and Svitlana got married on February 1st in Zaporizhia and plan to hold their wedding ceremony in Ivano-Frankivsk, Andriy's homeland. They just want to enjoy life together and not wait for better times.
