Ukraine has no intention of creating nuclear weapons - MFA.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has refuted the information published in The Times that Ukraine could create a nuclear bomb. MFA spokesperson Georgiy Tikhyy stated that Ukraine does not possess, does not develop, and has no intention of creating nuclear weapons in accordance with the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. In addition, Ukraine cooperates with the IAEA and is transparent for monitoring the use of nuclear materials for military purposes.
The Times, citing a briefing note for the Ministry of Defense, reported that Ukraine could develop a simple nuclear bomb within a few months if the US stops providing military assistance. President Zelensky at the Eu Council meeting stated that Ukraine's security could be guaranteed either by NATO membership or nuclear weapons. According to Bild, Ukraine already has all the necessary components, technologies, and experts to create a nuclear bomb within a few weeks after making such a decision.
Earlier, an image was published showing the preparation of the Russian intercontinental ballistic missile R-30 'Bulava'. This missile is part of Russia's 'nuclear triad' and is based on the atomic-powered submarines of the 955 'Borey' project.
