Poland Faces Acute Driver Shortage: Salaries and How to Get a Job.

Demand for Drivers in Poland Increases
Poland is facing a serious problem - there are not enough drivers. The country is short approximately 120,000 professional drivers due to a decrease in the number of foreign workers from Ukraine, Belarus, and Moldova. This is related to new rules for migrants, military actions in Ukraine, and the overall economic situation.
Salaries for drivers in Poland are categorized as follows:
- Domestic routes: 5000-7000 zlotys per month (211-295 thousand hryvnias)
- International transportation: 8000-12000 zlotys (337600-506400 hryvnias)
- Specialized transport: up to 15000 zlotys (633000 hryvnias).
To obtain a driver job, the following documents are required:
- Driver's license category C or CE
- Driver card for tachograph
- Certificate of professional competence (CPC)
- Medical certificate and psychological assessment.
To get a driver job, you need to:
- Obtain a work visa or residence permit.
- Apply through agencies or go directly to the company.
- Complete additional courses often organized by employers.
Transport companies are actively seeking ways to attract new employees, especially young ones. Reducing the duration of routes is one of the main steps that will help attract young drivers and stabilize the situation in the transport sector.
