The number of blocked tax invoices has decreased by half - State Tax Service.

According to the State Tax Service of Ukraine, the number of blocked tax invoices in the country has halved. The head of the State Tax Service, Ruslan Kravchenko, who was approved by parliament as the candidate for the position of Attorney General, participated in the KIEF TALKS meeting: 'New Rules of the Game: Taxation as a Service'.

The Tax Service showed positive results: last year, 0.76% of tax invoices were blocked, while this year only 0.35%. We hope for further reduction of this indicator by making changes to the government resolution, - said Kravchenko.

The head of the State Tax Service plans to minimize the impact of the human factor on the VAT administration system. In particular, the use of artificial intelligence in analyzing the risks of enterprises' activities is anticipated. This will allow for the automation of processes and reduce the risks of errors.

Enhancing Control through Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence will analyze data from various sources and draw conclusions about potential risks. Based on this data, businesses will receive recommendations for correcting errors. However, it should be noted that decisions made based on artificial intelligence will be stricter, as they will not consider some mitigating circumstances.

Changes in the operation of the electronic VAT administration system contribute to the reduction of tax invoice blockages by utilizing artificial intelligence to analyze risks. This allows for process automation and decreases the likelihood of errors, but it may also lead to stricter decisions compared to those made by humans.

During the KIEF TALKS event: 'New Rules of the Game: Taxation as a Service', State Tax Service head Ruslan Kravchenko stated improvements in the situation with the blocking of tax invoices in Ukraine. He also talked about intentions to reduce the impact of the human factor on the VAT administration system and the use of artificial intelligence for risk analysis. This could facilitate process automation and reduce the likelihood of errors, but could also lead to stricter decisions being made.
