Trump expects 'good news' regarding the war in Ukraine.

Trump prepares for negotiations on the Russian-Ukrainian war
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he expects 'good news' regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war and is considering personal participation in negotiations in Turkey on May 15, to which Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin are also invited.
'I think we will get quite good news from there today, and maybe tomorrow, or maybe on Friday, to be honest, but we'll see,' Trump said.
Trump confirmed that he is considering the possibility of attending the negotiations in Turkey, although his schedule is already full for Thursday. At the same Time, he expressed uncertainty about Putin's participation in the negotiations if Trump himself is absent.
'I don't know if he will be there if I'm not. We will find out,' Trump noted.
Doubts and Expectations from Zelensky
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed doubts about Putin's readiness for a meeting in Istanbul, stating that he hopes for concrete results from this meeting.
'When I meet with Putin, it should end with a political victory – a ceasefire or a prisoner exchange, all for all. And if he doesn’t come, it means he doesn’t want a political victory – for his society or for ours,' Zelensky stated.
While the Ukrainian president expresses expectations and hopes for a positive outcome from the negotiations, the Kremlin reported that the Russian side continues to prepare for the talks without specifying details.
In their expressed sentiments over the relations between the U.S., Ukraine, and Russia, Trump and Zelensky show readiness for constructive dialogue and conflict resolution.
