Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in Turkey
President of Russia Vladimir Putin has approved the composition of the Russian delegation for negotiations with Ukraine, which will take place on May 15 in Turkey. Vladimir Putin himself will not be present at the negotiations, although there have been calls for his participation.
The Russian delegation will be headed by presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky. It will also include the deputy foreign minister, the chief of staff, and the deputy defense minister.
Previously, the president of Brazil called on Putin to participate in the negotiations, but Vladimir Putin will not be present. Ukraine will be represented by a delegation led by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Zelensky stated that Ukraine is ready for any formats of negotiations, but the main obstacle is the lack of clear will from Russia to establish peace. The President of the United States may also attend the negotiations, as it is considered the most powerful argument.
