In Mykolaiv region, tons of oil leaked into the Southern Bug due to a Russian attack.


An accident occurred in Mykolaiv when a Russian drone crashed into an oil reservoir, causing the substance to leak into the Southern Bug River. This was reported by Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych.
To eliminate the consequences of the accident, booms were installed by emergency services specialists specifically designated for this purpose. They were placed at the pollution sites. - wrote Senkevych.
According to the mayor, specialists have already pumped out 25 tons of oil, but work continues.
It is noted that this oil is of organic origin and does not have a serious negative impact on the environment.
Meanwhile, on the night of January 1, Russian occupiers again attacked Ukraine, launching 111 strike drones of the 'Shahed' type.
Explosions occurred at 7:00 AM in Kyiv, where the air defense system was actively engaged. Due to the falling debris from the drones, the roof of the National Bank of Ukraine building in the Pechersk district caught fire. Houses in the center of Kyiv were also attacked using four 'Shahed' type drones.
It was reported that during the attack by Russian drones, they even bypassed the air defense system and almost attacked the president's office. Buildings of the Verkhovna Rada were also affected.
Currently, it is known that as a result of the fallen debris from drones, scientist Igor Zyma and his wife Olesya Sokur were killed.
