Attack on 'Borisoglebsk' Airfield: Satellite Photos Emerge.


Ukrainian drones carried out an attack on an airfield in the Voronezh region of Russia, resulting in destroyed hangars. This was part of a larger operation by the Ukrainian Armed Forces against four Russian airfields. This was reported by «Radio Liberty».
In Planet Labs satellite images from August 14, damage can be seen in the northwestern part of the ‘Borisoglebsk’ airfield. As a result of the attack, several hangars were destroyed. According to aviation expert Anatoly Khrapchinsky, this was a technical and operational part responsible for the repair and maintenance of aircraft. The airfield hosts Su-25, Su-30, Su-34, and Su-35 aircraft of the Russian Air Force.
According to information, the Security Service, the Armed Forces, and intelligence carried out the largest attack on Russian military airfields during the entire conflict. It is noted that this strike was carried out using long-range drones.
On the night of August 14, residents of the Voronezh region of Russia heard the sounds of drones flying and reported anti-aircraft defense activity. Also, in the morning of August 14, explosions were recorded in the Nizhny Novgorod region of Russia.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that Ukraine launched more than a hundred drones at military targets within Russian territory. According to the department, all 117 drones were shot down.
