The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled an attempt by Russian military to breach the state border in Kharkiv region. This information was released on Sunday, May 18, by the Operational-Strategic Grouping of Troops 'Khortytsia'.
Military reported that on Saturday, May 17, Russian military attempted to cross the border.
“The attempt to cross the state border of Ukraine towards Stroyivka has been neutralized,” representatives of the group noted.
Stroyivka is a village in Kharkiv region located not far from the border with the Russian Federation. Ukrainian defense forces also repelled enemy assaults near Bohuslavka and Zahryzove in the Kupiansk direction.
Increased activity of Russian forces in the Dnipro direction
It is also known that the Russian army has intensified its activities in the Dnipro direction, conducting regrouping of forces. Initially, it is known that Russian troops are located less than three kilometers from Dnipropetrovsk and are carrying out active operations in the Novopavlivka direction, using aviation and FPV drones on fiber optics.
The fighters of the 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade continue to hold the locality of Bahatyr and free it from the occupiers, inflicting losses on enemy troops both in personnel and equipment.
Ukrainian military successfully restrain the aggression of the occupiers and actively work to destroy the enemy's offensive potential in the rear while continuing to defend the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
