Sporting's striker Viktor Diekersh refused to return to the Portuguese club for pre-season training. The 27-year-old forward was dissatisfied with the comments made by the club's management, reports 'Glavkom' citing Record.
President of 'Sporting' Frederico Varandas previously stated that he would not allow the player to leave for a lower amount than specified in the buyout clause of his contract (60+10 million euros). It is reported that Diekersh threatened to publicly express his opinion on the current situation and no longer intends to play for the club.The contract with Viktor Diekersh runs until the summer of 2028 with 'Sporting'.
