Drivers shown the most fruitful cameras on Ukrainian roads: millions of fines collected.


Ukrainian roads continue to change in 2024. In addition to the quality of asphalt and the development of the automatic traffic violation detection system, this also applies to other improvements.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has released information on the operation of surveillance cameras on the country's roads. These cameras not only replenish the state treasury, but also save lives by making drivers more attentive and responsible.
The Patrol Police Department reported that the automatic traffic violation detection system has had a positive impact on road safety. The number of road accidents with fatalities or injuries has decreased threefold in places where such cameras are installed. This means they can save lives.
In addition to safety, the financial aspect also influences support for the system. The most effective cameras in the first eight months of 2024 collected over 121 million hryvnias for the budget. These funds can be used to improve road infrastructure and install new cameras to enhance safety on Ukrainian roads.
Violation detection cameras are located in various regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv, Kyiv region, the Carpathians, Zhytomyr region, Vinnytsia, and Lviv region.

- Zhytomyr region, highway "Kyiv - Chop": village of Didovychi, speed limit 70 km/h, 68,855 fines totaling 18.8 million hryvnias.
- Vinnytsia region, highway "Stryi - Uman - Dnipro - Izyvaryne": village of Ksaverivka, speed limit 50 km/h, 65,228 fines totaling 16.4 million hryvnias.
- Lviv region, highway "Ternopil - Rava-Ruska": village of Krasnoe, speed limit 50 km/h, 67,222 fines totaling 14.6 million hryvnias.
- Kyiv region, bypass of Brovary: highway "Kyiv - Chernihiv - Novi Yarylovychi", speed limit 50 km/h, 61,464 fines totaling 14.3 million hryvnias.
- Kyiv, Dnipro Quay: intersection with Prychalna St., speed limit 50 km/h, 63,277 fines totaling 11.5 million hryvnias.
- Kyiv region, highway "Kyiv - Odesa": village of Chabany, speed limit 50 km/h, 60,436 fines totaling 11.9 million hryvnias.
- Kyiv region, highway "Kyiv - Odesa": Glevakhova AH, speed limit 50 km/h, 41,335 fines totaling 9.1 million hryvnias.
