A year-round mountain resort will be built in Ukraine.


Investments in mountain resort construction
The government has signed two investment agreements totaling 140 million euros for the construction project of the GORO Mountain Resort in the Carpathians. These funds, along with taxes, will become an important source of revenue for the budget. An active phase of work is currently underway, and it is expected that after completion, the resort will be able to accommodate over half a million guests annually.
This is at least 140 million euros and about 7 billion UAH in taxes to the budgets of all levels over 15 years. This concerns the construction of the year-round GORO Mountain Resort. Starting from autumn 2024, an active phase of work will already be underway. After completion, the resort will be able to accommodate over half a million guests every year.
The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, believes that this project will have a significant socio-economic impact. She emphasized that by 2040, the construction of the resort will help create a significant number of jobs in the region, providing people with new employment opportunities.
