On Friday, May 16, drones from the Security Service organized a serious 'cotton' at the depots of the 126th separate coastal defense brigade of the Russian Federation in Crimea. According to an informed source in the Security Service of Ukraine, powerful detonations and fires occurred at the storage facilities. Local residents observed smoke rising above the military unit. The Russians even blocked traffic on the road near the village of Perevalne due to the serious consequences of the strike.
«The Security Service of Ukraine continues to work effectively against legitimate military targets in the territories of Crimea occupied by the Russians. Work on weakening the enemy's military capabilities will continue», – it was reported by an informed source.
The head of the Crimean occupation administration, Sergey Aksyonov, stated that Crimea is fully protected against any ground operations by Ukraine and that the level of protection of the peninsula is higher compared to the past.
The Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people warns residents of Crimea about the possibility of further actions by the Armed Forces of Ukraine following the recent strikes on Russian military facilities on the peninsula. Russian sources are also warning of a possible large-scale military operation in occupied Crimea from the Ukrainian side.
