Ukraine refuted NYT's information about the sinking of the cruiser 'Moskva'.

Spokesman for the Naval Forces of Ukraine Dmytro Pletenchuk refuted the information that the US provided Ukraine with the coordinates of the cruiser 'Moskva' and agreed to strike it.
'This information is not true. We have not received any coordinates regarding the position of the 'Moskva', and the operation to destroy this flagship of the Black Sea Fleet was planned and executed by the Naval Forces', said Pletenchuk during a telethon.
He also added: 'We, of course, agreed to the strike with higher officials after receiving the necessary permission. These officials are Ukrainian. And the strike was carried out.'
The spokesman emphasized that 'the information about coordination and precise data regarding the location is not true, just as the information about the necessity of agreements.'
The New York Times published an article stating that in April 2022, American and Ukrainian naval officers detected the Russian cruiser on radar, and the US informed the Ukrainian side about it.
According to the publication, after the strike on the 'Moskva', 'the Americans were angry because the Ukrainians did not warn about it; they were surprised that Ukraine had missiles that could reach the ship; and they panicked because the Biden administration did not intend to allow Ukrainian forces to attack such a powerful symbol of Russia'.
