In the US, a man is being prepared for execution for a crime experts consider impossible.

In the state of Texas, a man has been sentenced to execution for a crime that many medical experts consider impossible. Robert Roberson is to die by lethal injection. The sentence was handed down in connection with the death of his daughter, who fell from the bed and died.
Doctors performing the autopsy found injuries on the child's body which they believed had a violent cause. They suggested that the cause of death might be shaken baby syndrome. However, attorneys claimed that this syndrome is questionable, and many experts have signed a petition to cancel the execution. They believe that such a crime is impossible to commit.
The sentence can still be delayed or canceled if the governor of the states grants the lawyers' request or if the Supreme Court intervenes. Lawyers are trying to defend their client and prove his innocence. However, so far all their attempts have been unsuccessful.
Recently, the US already carried out the second execution using nitrogen, which was criticized by the UN and the EU. They oppose such executions, considering them unacceptable.
