The Pension Fund explained what pension parents and wives of deceased military personnel receive.

The Law of Ukraine "On Pension Provision of Persons Released from Military Service and Certain Other Persons" defines the procedure for granting a pension in case of the loss of a breadwinner for deceased/military personnel, reported by the Pension Fund.
According to this Law, mothers and wives of military personnel who died (passed away) while performing official duties have the right to an early retirement pension if they have reached the age of 50 and have an insurance record of at least 20 years.
Parents and wives (husbands) are granted a pension in case of the loss of a breadwinner upon reaching 55 years of age, regardless of the length of the insurance record.
These persons also have the right to a pension in case of the loss of a breadwinner if they are entitled to:
a miner's pension;
an early retirement pension;
a retirement pension on preferential terms;
a pension with a reduction in retirement age or are persons with disabilities.
The amount of the pension in case of the loss of a breadwinner is set in the following amounts:
to parents (one of the parents), wife/husband – 70% of the financial provision of the deceased breadwinner (not less than 7800 UAH);
to a child – 70% of the financial provision of the deceased breadwinner (not less than 6100 UAH per each child).
The minimum and maximum sizes of the pension are applied to each incapacitated family member separately.
