The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Revealed How Many Decrees on Ambassador Replacement Are Expected.


Ukraine is preparing for a significant change in its diplomatic cadre, in particular, the ambassador in the USA will be replaced. This was announced by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Georgiy Tikhiy, during a briefing on Friday, July 11.
How Many Decrees on Ambassador Replacement Have Been Issued
According to Tikhiy, up to 20 presidential decrees on dismissals and new appointments to the positions of ambassadors are expected to be issued.
'The decree may be about dismissal, it may be about appointment, that is, we are talking about a total of about 20 decisions on returning people as ambassadors,' Tikhiy clarified.
The Ministry's representative added that most decisions will be made public on July 21 during the annual meeting of heads of Ukraine's foreign diplomatic missions.
Tikhiy also confirmed that the replacement of the ambassador in the USA is planned, as the term of office of Oksana Markarova in this position is coming to an end.
Earlier we reported that the current Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov might be appointed as ambassador to the USA as early as this week. Also, Member of Parliament Sofia Fedina stated that Ukraine urgently needs to replace its ambassador in the USA due to the loss of connections with key political players in America.
Ukraine is preparing for serious changes in its diplomatic cadre, particularly regarding the replacement of the ambassador in the USA. It is planned to issue up to 20 presidential decrees about dismissals and appointments to the positions of ambassadors in connection with this rotation. The decision to replace the ambassador in the United States has been made due to the end of Oksana Markovska's term in this position. Such news may affect Ukraine's foreign policy strategy and its cooperation with other countries.
