The administrative leadership of the US Congress warns its staff against using the Chinese application DeepSeek, which causes instability in the American market and has not yet been researched in terms of information security.
This was reported by the American publication Axios, citing a document that was made available to them.
'Currently, the DeepSeek application is being tested and is not authorized for official use,' said the Chief Administrative Officer of the House of Representatives.
It is noted that malicious actors have already used DeepSeek to spread malware and infect devices.
'To mitigate these risks, the House of Representatives has taken security measures by restricting the functionality of DeepSeek on all devices issued by the House,' the statement says.
It also emphasizes that employees are prohibited from installing DeepSeek on any official phones, computers, and tablets.
