Artificial intelligence has named the vacation spots where tourists are happiest. AI, using facial recognition technology, analyzed thousands of photos on social media to determine which places evoke the warmest smiles on the faces of tourists. Researchers analyzed 100 popular vacation spots worldwide, and the results were surprising – happiness is not necessarily found on popular beaches. The results were published by Insureandgo.
The happiness rating was topped by the UK's Lake District with a score of 88.4 out of 100. This was followed by Norway's Lofoten Islands and Queenstown in New Zealand. Interestingly, Istanbul, often criticized for its extremely high rental prices, made it to the list.
«We were incredibly curious to find out if certain popular tourist spots are filled with more smiling tourists than others», said Russell Wallace of InsureandGo.

By the way, Paris is no longer the most romantic place, as tourists have found an alternative.
