Hundreds of homeless people occupy the airport in Spain.

Situation at Madrid Airport
At Spain's largest airport - Madrid-Barajas - the number of homeless people using the building as a shelter is rapidly increasing. According to Spanish media, the number of 'unregistered residents' has risen from 50 to nearly 500. The situation is particularly acute in terminal No. 4, where homeless individuals sleep on the floor near restrooms, behind information screens, and in dining areas.
Airport staff are complaining about the deteriorating sanitary conditions and incidents of aggression. Some homeless people carry knives and use drugs right on the premises. Recently, disinfestation had to be carried out due to the threat of a bedbug infestation.
Many of the homeless are migrant workers who have lost their homes due to failures in the labor market. It is worth noting that at Sharm El Sheikh airport, a billboard fell on tourists from Kazakhstan, resulting in the death of one woman and injuries to two others.
