Russian weightlifter Rodion Bochkow has been given another disqualification
According to the Moscow anti-doping laboratory (LIMS), steroids were found in the athlete from Russia in a doping sample from October 2012. The 31-year-old Bochkow received an eight-year disqualification, forfeiting medals at various competitions from 2012 to 2020.
In December 2023, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) confirmed Bochkow's guilt in using dehydrochloromethyltestosterone and imposed a four-year disqualification. It is worth noting that this is not the athlete's first violation; he had previously been subject to a temporary suspension for similar offenses.
