Trump's Revolution: Pastukhov explained how the scenario of 1918 poses a threat to Ukraine again.

Well-known political scientist and lawyer Volodymyr Pastukhov compares current events in Ukraine with historical events from a century ago.
In his Telegram channel on February 26, the political scientist notes that Trump's victory could have the same consequences for Ukraine as the anti-Kaiser revolution in Germany in 1918.
'In no way claiming to create a historical analogy (different times, different circumstances, different processes), I cannot help but draw attention to the possible similarity of the impact on Ukraine's fate of the consequences of the Trumpian revolution in America and the consequences of the anti-Kaiser revolution in Germany in 1918,'- Pastukhov stated.
According to him, the century-old revolution in Germany led to the annulment of the terms of the Brest peace for the Russian Bolsheviks, which negatively affected Ukraine and caused its dependence on communist Russia. The peace agreement in Rapallo, which was concluded later, strengthened the coalition between former enemies.
Pastukhov believes that today the 'Trump revolution' is destroying the entire structure created by the international alliance in support of Ukraine, and something akin to a new Rapallo may arise in the near future. At the same Time, the political scientist notes that, just like in 1918, 'it is unknown how it will all end in the end.'
Volodymyr Pastukhov is a well-known Russian political scientist, publicist, and lawyer, honorary senior research fellow at University College London. In 2008, he was forced to emigrate to London due to criminal prosecution related to his work as a lawyer for the Hermitage Capital Management fund. He is the author of the concept of the 'understanding-based constitution' of Russia - a collection of unwritten rules that define the essence of life in this country.
Let us remind you, Zelensky will discuss security guarantees with Trump in the context of the subsoil agreement.
