The Ombudsman's Office has recorded a significant number of appeals regarding potential violations of constitutional rights since the beginning of 2025. Human Rights Commissioner Dmytro Lubinets reported receiving 266 complaints, which exceeds the number of similar cases recorded in the Constitutional Court during the same period.

'Only since the beginning of 2025, the Ombudsman's Office has received 266 appeals concerning possible violations of constitutional rights – more than the number of constitutional complaints registered in the Constitutional Court of Ukraine during the same period,' he noted.

Lubinets emphasized that the Ombudsman’s Office helps citizens gain access to constitutional control mechanisms. Some of these appeals have already been used to file official lawsuits in the Constitutional Court in 2024.
