Fires in Vinnytsia: five blazes in a day, one dead.


A man died in a fire in Zhmerynka in Vinnytsia
A 55-year-old man died in a fire that occurred in Zhmerynka, Vinnytsia region, on the night of January 21. In total, firefighters extinguished five blazes in the region over the course of the day. This was reported by the spokesperson for the State Emergency Service in Vinnytsia region, Oksana Urbanska, to Suspilne.
A fire broke out in an extension to a residential building in Zhmerynka, resulting in the death of the 55-year-old man. Over the past day, firefighters attempted to extinguish four more fires across the region. According to Oksana Urbanska, the spokesperson for the State Emergency Service in Vinnytsia region, the cause of the man's death was negligence while smoking.
Three fires were caused by faulty stoves. Reports of burning houses have been made in the village of Kryshtopivka in the Haisyn district, as well as in the towns of Kryzhopil and Trostyanets. As a result of the fires, the first two houses lost ceiling beams, while the third suffered damage to wall finishes.
In the village of Orativ, a garage caught fire at night. According to experts, the cause of the fire was a short circuit in the electrical network. The flames damaged the roof of the building and a 'VAZ 2101' car.
