Political scientist Igor Reyterovich stated that regardless of the fake passports issued by the Russian Federation, soldiers from North Korea, taken prisoner, will reveal their nationality. He believes that the physical characteristics of North Koreans and prolonged malnutrition affect their appearance, and it will be noticeable. Reyterovich also believes that the captured soldiers will confirm their origin and the country they are from. He claims that even Russian passports and propaganda cannot change their essence. The political scientist emphasizes that no one knows how North Korean soldiers will behave in war, so their behavior on the battlefield raises many questions. Reyterovich also notes that North Korea has not been engaged in active combat since the 1950s, so participation in a real war poses a great challenge for their military training. He concludes that if captured, North Koreans may be able to preserve their lives or even leave North Korea if they talk about what is happening on the real battlefield.
