The police intend to assess the legal actions of stand-up comedian Anton Stenyuk, who made a joke on a religious topic about Muslims. This was reported by the press service of the National Police.
Kyiv police registered this event, discovered during social media monitoring. After the inspection, a legal assessment will be given.
During his performance on stage, Stenyuk expressed some confusion as to why "Orthodox kill Orthodox when there are Muslims in the world".
This war is just nonsense. I don't know how it happened that some Orthodox kill other Orthodox, when there are so many Muslims in the world. I am not saying that Muslims should be killed, I am a reasonable person, I understand that this is not the right Time. But moreover, Jews are already doing this.
In response to this joke, Refat Chubarov, head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, protested against such frivolous behavior. Social media users are also outraged, emphasizing that among the Ukrainian military there are Crimean Tatars who are Muslims.
Comedian Anton Stenyuk has already apologized for his "joke about killing Muslims".
