Strange patterns 400 meters long discovered under Antarctic ice.

Unusual drop-shaped structures were found under a shelf glacier in West Antarctica during an expedition. Scientists were studying the glacier to understand the processes of its melting. It turned out that the greatest melting occurs in places where underwater currents penetrate the base of the ice, and cracks in the glacier contribute to its destruction. However, scientists also noticed that the base of the ice is not smooth, but has drop-shaped formations that arise due to the movement of water together with the rotation of the Earth. Researchers believe that these formations are the result of uneven melting. In the Southern Hemisphere, polar explorers noticed a rare phenomenon - a starry sky over Antarctica. They noticed that here you can see 45 constellations that are not accessible in the Northern Hemisphere.
