The Metinvest Group has created the country's first underground stabilization point for saving the lives of frontline defenders. This steel hospital provides resuscitation, treatment, and housing for patients located near the frontline in safe conditions for both medical staff and patients.
The hospital is built on the basis of steel bunkers, which have been developed and upgraded according to the needs of military medics. Its equipment is equivalent to second-tier field hospitals according to NATO standards. The total investment in the construction and equipment of the hospital exceeds 20 million UAH.
Metinvest Group's Chief Operating Officer, Oleksandr Myronenko, noted that this underground hospital is the most ambitious and complex project implemented since the invasion began. He added that saving the lives of Ukrainian defenders is extremely important, which is why maximum efforts were made to provide doctors with everything necessary for timely and effective assistance.
The hospital's equipment includes various medical devices such as oxygen concentrators, ventilators, cardiac monitors, defibrillators, surgical equipment, and more. The total cost of the equipment exceeds 7 million UAH.
According to the acting commander of the Medical Forces "East," Roman Kuzev, this underground hospital is the best among existing stabilization points. It will provide medical assistance to over 100 patients daily and will allow saving hundreds of lives of Ukrainian defenders.
The Metinvest Group has already allocated a significant amount to aid Ukraine and its citizens within the framework of Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front military initiative. In addition to the underground hospital, the company also produces various military equipment for the needs of the army.
