The Russian troops occupying Donbas are trying to hurry to achieve results before the onset of impassable terrain, which will complicate military operations, according to Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Serhii Tsekhotskyi.
"They are in a hurry, indeed rushing towards the impassable terrain because the Donbas soil will not allow for active military operations in the fields in the future. The main part of the combat encounters is in the field, and advancement through such soil will be impossible," he said.
According to Tsekhotskyi, Russia's human resources are depleting, so they resort to granting citizenship to anyone who evades Russian administrative or criminal law, then offering them to join the army.
The officer also reported that the Russian occupiers have insufficient training based on data obtained from prisoners of war.
"They are going with insufficient training, and this is good for us. However, they are still numerous. To hold the defense, our defenders must be more numerous than the enemy," concluded Serhii Tsekhotskyi.
