The company has launched a new menu with full lunches in test mode on select trains.
The press service of 'Ukrzaliznytsia' announced that passengers will now be able to choose hot dishes from the new menu. It includes:
- Carpathian draniki - 180 UAH;
- Omelet made from Zhytomyr eggs - 170 UAH;
- Chicken with Podilian potatoes and vegetables - 190 UAH;
- Crimean Tatar pilaf with beef - 180 UAH.
'The menu with hot dishes on long-distance trains was one of the most anticipated updates from 'Ukrzaliznytsia', the company reports. Testing of the new menu will take place this week on several of the longest routes, including:
- #351/352 Kyiv - Chișinău;
- #95/96 Kyiv - Rakhiv;
- #29/30 Kyiv - Uzhhorod;
- #4/3 Zaporizhia - Uzhhorod.
It is also known that Ukrainian chef Yevhen Klopotenko developed this menu. The dishes were prepared and frozen using an innovative method that allows preserving their taste after reheating.
The number of trains in Ukraine will increase before the Christmas and New Year holidays. Tickets can be purchased via the mobile app, on the website, or at ticket offices.
Moreover, 'Ukrzaliznytsia' has appointed an additional train for the Christmas holidays. From December 18 to January 12, this train will operate on the route Kharkiv - Vorokhta - Kharkiv. It will complement the schedule of train #1/2 with the same route, which already operates every other day.
