The prices of ingredients for the 'Olivier' salad in 2025 have increased compared to the previous year, reports 'Khvylya' citing the Ministry of Finance.
Before the New Year, Ukrainians actively buy products for the festive table, and the 'Olivier' salad remains one of the most popular dishes. However, the prices of its ingredients have risen.
According to data from major retail chains, pickled cucumbers 'Veres' (500 g) now cost an average of 105.44 UAH, which is slightly higher than the November price of 103.50 UAH.
A dozen of 'Kvochka' chicken eggs will now cost 78.40 UAH, compared to 72.94 UAH in November. 'Yasensvit' is slightly more expensive - 135.67 UAH.
'Veres' green peas (400 g) now cost an average of 53.45 UAH. In Novus, you can find them cheaper - 39.99 UAH for 410 grams.
A kilogram of regular potatoes will now cost 34.70 UAH (in November - 31.67 UAH), and carrots have increased to 32.27 UAH per kilogram compared to the November price of 29.83 UAH.
The average price of boiled doctor's sausage 'Alan' is 435.96 UAH per kilogram, which is higher than the November price of 409.55 UAH.
Thus, the prices for most ingredients for the 'Olivier' salad have increased compared to last year, which may affect the holiday budget of Ukrainian families.
