3rd Assault Brigade Officer Admitted What's Hardest for Him in the War.

Fighters of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade are very sensitive to losses. The death of their comrades is very hard to endure here, as each unit is like a family. This was told in an interview with Nataliia Moseichuk by the commander of the 1st Assault Battalion of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, Volodymyr Fokin.
"During the Bakhmut operation, we assaulted a settlement and got surrounded. Some from the group made it out, but some did not. That Time, we experienced our first KIA casualties. It was a tragedy for the entire company, and all the fighters couldn’t recover for a week. Some even cried, though they are such brave assaulters who fearlessly chase Russians with axes in the forest belts," Volodymyr Fokin said.
According to Fokin, he remembers the nicknames of all the fallen subordinates and also knows where and under what circumstances they died. As a commander, he called their relatives and conveyed the terrible news.
"Actually, this is the hardest thing I've ever done, to be frank," Volodymyr Fokin admitted.
As a reminder, the Bureau of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe decided to hold urgent debates on Ukrainian military and civilians in Russian captivity.
Let us add that the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office has initiated an investigation into a war crime committed by Russian occupiers in the Toretsk direction. According to preliminary data, three Ukrainian servicemen were shot in the back after they surrendered.
