Residents of Mykolaiv region have been urged to avoid the coastal area and not to go on water on boats due to the threat of shelling from the Russian Federation, as reported by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Threat of shelling
The military situation in the region remains tense as the enemy increasingly attacks the civilian population and infrastructure of Mykolaiv region. Consequently, the presence of people near the coastline becomes dangerous, also considering the threat of mines. To avoid risk, residents were urged to:
- not gather in the coastal area and on beaches;
- not visit unsecured sections of the coastline;
- refrain from going into the water on any vessels;
- not ignore warning signs and barriers.
'We ask you to pay special attention to avoid spreading information on social networks or media about the locations of people in coastal areas, as this might be used by the enemy for attacks',it was noted in the statement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Recall that recently the region was affected by fires at military depots, and this area was noted among the leaders for the amount of hazardous waste.
Due to the threat of shelling from the Russian Federation, residents of Mykolaiv region were urged to avoid the coastal area and refrain from going on water on boats. The military advises not to risk your life and to keep track of updates regarding the security situation in the region.Read also
