Maria Melnychenko presented the national costume for 'Miss World 2025'
The titleholder of 'Miss Ukraine 2024', Maria Melnychenko from Kyiv, showcased her national costume at the international competition 'Miss World 2025'. The golden dress, titled 'Soul of the Earth. Guardian of Life', symbolizes Ukraine as a source of life, rebirth, and hope, through the symbols of wheat, sun, and wind.
Wheat in the costume is not just a decorative element but a symbol of Ukraine's food mission. It reminds us of our country's role as one of the main granaries of the planet even during the war.
The dress is made with voluminous embroidery in the shape of ears and grains that shine, as a metaphor for the fertile Ukrainian land. The sheer cape symbolizes the steppe wind and the vastness of Ukrainian fields. The crown made of ears embodies the sun and feminine power that protects, heals, and leads to rebirth.
Participation in the 'Miss World' competition
Maria Melnychenko has already departed for the 'Miss World' competition, which will take place in India on May 31 this year, where she will compete against representatives from 109 countries. The student and model from Kyiv earned the title of 'Miss Ukraine 2024' through voting on the official website and evaluations from the jury.
Last year, the Ukrainian representative at the beauty contest 'Miss Planet 2024' in Cambodia, Victoria Oshur, received the title of 'Miss Beautiful Hair' and an award for this. She was honored with a ribbon with the name of the nomination and a monetary certificate.
Maria Melnychenko and Victoria Oshur represent Ukraine at international beauty contests, showcasing not only their beauty but also talent and national pride.
