According to a study by the Research Institute 'Ukragroproductivity', the average price of wheat bread in Ukraine has reached 52 hryvnias per kilogram, and rye bread - 45-48 hryvnias.
The highest price increase is observed in the category of rye-wheat bread.
In February 2025, the following prices were set in Ukrainian supermarkets: a loaf of wheat bread weighing 650 grams cost between 37.50 and 43.10 hryvnias, rye bread weighing 950 grams - between 32.10 and 38.45 hryvnias, and a loaf weighing 500 grams - between 27.50 and 31.20 hryvnias. The highest prices were recorded at the Auchan supermarket, while the lowest were at Megamarket.
Experts predict further monthly price increases for bread in the range of 1.5-3%. By the end of the year, an overall increase in the prices of bakery products is expected to be around 20-25%.
