Forbes calculated the losses of Russia after the attack on the 'Engels' airbase.

According to Forbes, Ukrainian drones struck the 'Engels' airbase in the Saratov region of Russia, inflicting losses of 960 million dollars. As a result of this strike, 96 X-101 cruise missiles intended for attacks on Ukraine were destroyed.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the complete destruction of these missiles. The cost of each X-101 is at least 10 million dollars, and the total losses of the enemy exceed two months' production of the missile factory 'Raduga'. Other military infrastructure and fuel depots were also damaged.
This is already the third strike on the 'Engels' airbase in the last ten weeks. The previous attacks, which occurred in January, resulted in a massive fire that lasted nearly a week. According to Ukrainian strategic communications, up to 800,000 tons of fuel were destroyed.
Fire at the oil depot in Engels
Analysts note that Russian repair crews quickly restore damaged facilities, and the military industry finds ways to compensate for losses. According to Frontelligence Insight, most attacks on ammunition depots had a 'limited effect', as the enemy promptly repaired the damage inflicted.
Thus, the Ukrainian strategy has changed: strikes are becoming increasingly focused on Russia's oil infrastructure, which is critical to its economy. Kyiv hopes that attacks on the energy sector will have a more long-lasting effect than strikes on airbases and depots.
Earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked one of Russia's largest oil refineries.
