Fedorov answered whether distance learning will continue in Ukraine.

Distance learning remains in Ukraine
The Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov reported that distance learning in Ukraine will not be canceled. He emphasized that the safety of children is a key priority. Offline education is possible only if the lives of students are not endangered.
Cancellation of the Ministry of Education Order No. 1112
The Minister announced that on July 16, the cancellation of the Ministry of Education Order No. 1112, which provided for distance learning, was announced. The government of Ukraine will seek ways to return children to safe offline education and compensate for educational losses caused by COVID-19 and the conflict with Russia. However, distance learning remains an integral part of the educational process.
‘Distance learning will not be canceled. The safety of children is our key priority. We live in wartime conditions, so distance learning will remain an element of the educational process. The quality of distance learning is a priority. Offline education is possible only with guarantees that the lives of children are not threatened,’ emphasized the minister.
Fedorov explained that the decision to cancel Order No. 1112 was made under pressure from communities and deputies who protested against the possibility of closing schools in frontline areas. It was also noted about the construction of underground schools and modern shelters to ensure safe offline learning under any circumstances.
After the government announced the cancellation of the Ministry of Education Order No. 1112, distance learning remains a relevant element of the educational process in Ukraine. The safety of children and the search for new ways to ensure quality education in the conditions that have changed after the pandemic and war remain important.Read also
