EIB will protect European investments in Ukraine with guarantees of €400 million.


The European Investment Bank (EIB) has signed the first agreement with European export credit agencies to provide financial guarantees for companies doing business with Ukraine.
The demand for these guarantees has already reached €400 million, stated EIB President Nadia Calvino.
Financial support for Ukrainian companies
'I want to remind you that we have signed the first agreement with export credit agencies across the EU. Thus, European companies can contact their national export credit agencies to access European guarantees when dealing with Ukraine. These export guarantee services, which we initiated with a budget of €300 million, have already exceeded expectations. The EIB has already received requests from national export credit agencies for an amount of around €400 million,' noted the EIB leader.
She noted that the EIB supports European priorities and delivers funds where they are needed. In particular, the EIB remains one of the most important financial partners for Ukraine.
