Strange holes found in the wreckage of the plane: the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan made his first statement.


The Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev commented on the situation with the holes in the tail section of the plane that crashed near Aktau. According to him, criminologists and civil aviation experts have arrived at the crash site to conduct a thorough investigation. Kanat Bozumbayev stated that expertise would be conducted within the framework of the criminal case opened, and specialists from other countries would also be involved. He stressed that there is currently no possibility to make preliminary conclusions.
The Embraer plane, which was operating a flight from Baku to Grozny, crashed at the Aktau airport. There were 67 passengers and 5 crew members on board. The passengers were citizens of Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.

According to the preliminary version of Rosaviation, the cause of the air crash was a collision with birds. It is noted that after the collision, the commander of the flight decided to land at a reserve airfield, which was chosen as Aktau. It is also reported that an oxygen cylinder exploded on board the plane, causing passengers to start fainting.
At the crash site of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane, the black box was found. It has already been seized and will become material evidence in the criminal proceedings.
