95-year-old Bukovinian supported the transition of her religious community to the POCU.

Religious communities gathered in the village of Dubove
In the village of Dubove, which belongs to the Kamianets Territorial Community of the Chernivtsi region, a meeting of the religious community of the Holy Trinity Parish took place. The people decided to leave the jurisdiction of the Moscow Patriarchate and join the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. This was reported by the Chernivtsi-Bukovinian diocese of the OCU.
122 participants of the meeting voted for the transition to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. It is symbolic that among those who supported this decision was the oldest participant of the community - a 95-year-old grandmother, who by her example confirmed her devotion to the Ukrainian Church and desire to be part of its spiritual family.
«We sincerely congratulate the community of the village of Dubove on joining the large family of the Chernivtsi-Bukovinian Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Orthodox Church of Ukraine)», is stated in the message.
The diocese reminded that after receiving the Tomos of autocephaly, approximately 50 parishes of the Chernivtsi region have joined the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
Earlier in Chernivtsi, the first religious community transitioned from the Moscow Church to the OCU.
It is recalled that in the Volyn region, a priest of the OCU, who consecrated classrooms in a local lyceum, was beaten by one of the supporters of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate - a student's father.
